Imposter syndrome

Why do top dogs fade away while the underdogs manage to defy all odds? We become that we take ourselves to be. Years of pampering, protection and good living makes us a conformist. Habituated to act in response to permission, approval, recognition, and award, we forfeit our freedom to act. Underplay our greatness shy away from challenges, and be a conformist.
Presuming pseudo humility to be a cardinal virtue, make no effort to stretch ourselves. Instead, your coach lights up a fire and doubles up as your sparring partner. She gets you to challenge the status quo and be a player, not a spectator.
